The Truancy Prevention Program serves children in Kindergarten through 12th grade who have been identified as having school attendance issues. The ultimate goal of each truancy caseworker is to improve educational performance and eliminate absenteeism.
The truancy program is designed to work directly with the youth and their caregivers to increase structure and accountability in the home as well as to collaborate with Children and Youth Services, school administration and other applicable providers within Lawrence County.
Youth in this program are referred through Lawrence County Children and Youth Services.
