Winter 2020 Message From Don
Where did the holidays go? We just capped off Cray’s most successful Christmas season with the help of many community partners and businesses.
Thanks to all our supporters, Cray was able to provide for more than 220 children and families who have present affiliation with a current Cray Program. There were many individual stories of generosity within these gifts and many of our families responded with words of thanks as well as lots of joyful tears. In addition to the many gifts donated, Cray also had it’s most successful Christmas mail campaign in its history. That tells me that our community believes in the services Cray provides and the positive impact these services are having in this community,
The donations will help all of the more than 20 services Cray provides and the positive impact these services are having in this community. Please take the opportunity to read up on many of the great things going on in all of the Cray programs.
I am extremely proud of all of the dedicated Cray staff that go far beyond expectations to make life better for our kids
and our wonderful community. Another area that I am quite excited about has been our recent development of strong relationships with many of New Castle’s churches and religious organizations. This has truly been a blessing in so many ways by ultimately improving life for others in our community.
Cray has experienced a solid fiscal start to the first half of our 20-21 fiscal year. This is due in part to our collaborations with other agencies and community entities. Cray has a long-standing reputation of providing quality social services for the youth and families in need in Lawrence County.
Stay warm and safe everyone, and I will talk to you again in the summer.
